“Arcadia has meant so much to my life. Perhaps I would not have been able to attend such a quality college without the scholarship provided by those alumni who had supported the Annual Fund. I had a wonderful preparation for my teaching career and my love of opera, symphony and fine literature developed because of my elective courses at Beaver. Through the years since graduation, I have been proud to say I am a graduate of Beaver College, and now of the world-wide recognized Arcadia University. My fervent wish is that others will be able to say, as I did, that much of my success in life came from my years at Arcadia.”

Jean, an Elementary Education major and Spanish minor, received a scholarship to Beaver College for academic achievement. At Beaver, she was a member of the Day Student Council and the Nominating Council. Jean taught elementary school in Pennsylvania and later, New Jersey where she taught part time in a Title program and then tutored in the Livingston School District. Jean earned a Master of Arts with certification as a Learning Consultant from Montclair State University and taught learning disabled students for 30 years. After retirement from the Parsippany/Troy Hills (NJ) School District, where she was selected as the Teacher of the Year in 2000, Jean volunteered for nine years in the University Advancement Office at Arcadia. Jean and her husband, Alan, have three children, Bruce, Lynne, and Amy, and five grandchildren. They now live in Chatham, MA in the summer months and Naples, FL in the winter.

“Giving back to a school which provided such a rich experience for both of us and shaped who we are today has been important to us since the day we graduated. We give what we can each year and want to remind other alumni that the amount isn't as important as the act of participating in the Annual Fund by giving each and every year.”

Corrinne majored in Psychology, minored in Fine Art with an emphasis in Art Therapy. During her undergraduate years at Beaver/Arcadia, she was a part of the field hockey team, President of her class, student coordinator of the Empty Bowl Dinner, an Orientation Leader, Orientation Planning Executive Council as student coordinator, and President of Student Government. Being involved in the student community created a close, long-lasting connection to the school for Corinne. She attended graduate school at Drexel University in Hahnemann's Creative Arts in Therapy Program. As Past-President of the Delaware Valley Art Therapy Association, Corinne has been working part-time as a Masters-level Art Therapist while being actively involved in her local community and parent-teacher organizations.

Jon majored in Corporate Communications with a concentration in Human Resources. During his undergraduate years, Jon enjoyed the friendships and experiences from being actively involved in the Beaver/Arcadia community - including serving three terms as a Student Government Officer, being a Class Officer, Orientation Leader, member of Orientation Planning Executive Council, member of the baseball team, and a study abroad participant (spending spring of his junior year at the University of Stirling, Scotland). Since graduating, Jon has served as Recent Graduate Alumni Trustee and has been involved with the Alumni Association. He received his Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from West Chester University and currently manages Leadership & Organizational Development for JPMorganChase in Wilmington, DE. Jon is an Aquarius and enjoys enjoyable things.

Jon and Corinne have 2 children, Noah, 6 and Cali, 3, and live in West Chester, PA.
