Grow As an Artist.
Morgan Everitt ’11
My theater professors helped me grow immensely, and I am so incredibly grateful to all of them. Everyone has been supportive and encouraging, and I feel prepared and confident in my ability to work professionally as an actress.
When I learned that Arcadia was doing an all-female Julius Caesar, I knew right away that I wanted to be Cassius as he is a very strong and masculine character that women often do not have the chance to play. It was a huge challenge as there was an overwhelming amount to explore about the character, but the role helped me gain confidence in my ability to understand and perform Shakespeare.
The incredibly special thing about Julius Caesar was that the cast was comprised mostly of senior theater majors. Since we had become a family over the past four years, to perform together in such a powerful show was absolutely amazing. I felt so lucky to be able to share the stage with such talented women and to experience the ferocity within us that the play brought out.
