Arcadia in Sicily Summer Programs


Arcadia in Sicily offers four summer programs at the Arcadia Center in Syracuse, Sicily:

Archaeological Field Study in Italy

Students will spend six-weeks working on site, recording their findings in multifunctional classrooms at the Arcadia Sicily Center, discussing the main issues of field archaeology and engaging in cutting edge digital archaeology. All students will participate in a one-credit intensive Italian language course at a level commensurate with ability for the first two weeks of the program. No previous study of Italian language is required.

Marine Preservation in Italy

Students will take part in an intense program in marine biology and conservation of marine ecosystem in collaboration with The Marine Protected Area of Plemmirio, a few kilometers south of Syracuse (Sicily) and the marine-protected area of Marettimo one of most beautiful Aegadian islands of west coast of Sicily. All students will participate in a three-credit intensive Italian language course at a level commensurate with ability for the first three weeks of the program. No previous study of Italian language is required.

Business Administration Internship Program in Italy

Students will assist in research and development, finance and investment plans, sales, field study and marketing strategies while developing your Italian language skills. This program is available for undergraduate and graduate students in any academic discipline. All students will participate in a three-credit intensive Italian language course at a level commensurate with ability for the first three weeks of the program. No previous study of Italian language is required.

STEM Summer Research Program

Students will spend six-weeks studying Computer Science with Arcadia in Sicily. Summer Research in Syracuse will challenge your academic knowledge and critical thinking skills while opening up a whole world of cultural, societal and historic experiences to you.
