Arcadia in Chile Summer Courses

In Valparaíso, students take one Spanish language course, in addition to selecting one of two central course options below.

Central Course Options

Spanish Language Course

Students will be placed into a 3-credit Spanish language course during orientation. Placement will depend on each student's Spanish proficiency, with the following levels available: Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced.

Completing the Preliminary Course Form

All students must complete a Preliminary Course Form, available on Arcadia Passport, as part of the application process. When completing this form, students should include their choice of one 6-credit central course and one 3-credit Spanish language course (selections must total 9 credits). When selecting a Spanish language course, students should provide an educated estimate of which level they may take in Chile. Final Spanish language level is determined by placement at orientation. While every effort will be made to accommodate your course selections, Arcadia University does not guarantee placement in any course.
