Information for LGBT Students

Arcadia University and the Arcadia The College of Global Studies are committed to ensuring equal opportunity to all persons and to respecting diversity, which includes all sexual orientations, and the lifestyles associated with them. Our university and center welcomes lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) students and encourages them to apply to our programs.

We are dedicated to providing a safe, accepting environment for those who are out or questioning their sexuality, and to those who actively support the LGBT community. Our staff believes in and strives for a student group and social setting where LGBT students and heterosexual students interact comfortably.

We are committed to working with each student to find a program that suits his or her individual needs and to providing resources and cultural guidance, as needed, for LGBT students in the countries where they plan to study.  We encourage students to contact an Arcadia program manager to discuss the kinds of support we can provide to help them achieve their cultural, educational, and personal goals abroad.

For more information about LGBT support in specific countries, please refer to the "Know Before You Go" page for each country, accessible from the Ready to Go page.
