Hendrefoelan Student Village
The newest and most modern accommodation, is a purpose-built estate housing more than 1,400 students in self-contained co-ed units ranging from apartments to houses for 4 to 12 people. The Student Village is the most popular option for students attending Swansea University. It is located about two and a half miles, or a 30-minute walk, from campus. The majority of the rooms are single occupancy. All occupants of a house/apartment share kitchen and bathroom facilities. Kitchen facilities are equipped with an oven, refrigerator, and freezer. Students are responsible for providing their own crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils that may be purchased inexpensively in local shops. Amenities include a store, bar, computer terminal, launderette and tennis courts. Quiet housing can be requested at Hendrefoelan Student Village. Buses run from the student village to campus regularly. Swansea University will provide students with a local bus pass which will cover unlimited travel on local buses in Swansea. There is no additional cost for this bus pass; students will be able to collect their bus pass on campus upon arrival.
There is no meal plan in the Student Village. Students may prepare their own meals or may pay for meals taken in any of the eating facilities on campus.
