To help you plan your budget, we suggest you complete this worksheet. Refer to the "Planning a Personal Budget" section of your program's pre-departure information to help you estimate your expenses. If your family is helping to pay for your program abroad, you should go over these figures with them, too.

  • Academic year = 30 weeks plus 8 vacation weeks (4 at Christmas, 4 at Easter)
  • Single term= 10-12 weeks
  • Semester = 12-15 weeks plus 3 or 4 weeks spring break
  • Spring two term = 20 weeks plus 3 or 4 weeks spring break
  • Fall two term = 20 weeks plus 3 or 4 weeks for winter break
