Cultural Enrichment & Orientation in Italy
"Studying abroad with Arcadia truly was the greatest experience of my life." - Jonathan Miller, Wabash College student, studied in Rome.
Events and excursions designed to enhance your understanding of Italian culture will take place throughout the semester. You are invited (and encouraged!) to participate in any or all of these excursions.
Our Italy staff will discuss this in detail—including dates and how to reserve your place—during orientation. All Arcadia excursions attach great importance to the notions of safety, experiential learning and cultural understanding.
Orientation won't be the end of your contact with the program and Arcadia staff. Events and excursions designed to enhance your understanding and knowledge of Italy will take place throughout the semester. Whether it is a day trip for Perugia students to the Umbrian countryside, a visit to Rome for students in Florence, or a series of excursions farther afield for Syracuse students, Arcadia's excursions will expand your awareness of Italian culture and history. Some excursions are free, others such as overnight trips come as an additional cost. Classes in Rome include one or two-day academic excursions (no cost) tied to syllabi. Please speak with your overseas staff for details.
