About this Institute

This institute-style seminar is a blended course comprising face-to-face meetings at the KOP campus and online follow-up study. It provides students with introductory knowledge regarding children diagnosed with autism. Topics addressed include characteristics of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders; considerations in school and home programming; family, community and legal issues; and life transitions.

Participants will receive 3 graduate credits upon completion of the course and the practicum hours, which can be later applied toward the completion of the Arcadia University Graduate Certificate in Autism and/or a M.Ed. in Special Education. Act 48 credits also are available.
