Career Peer Mentors and Express Advising

Amber is a junior currently majoring in Psychology. Amber finds her major to be extreamly captivating. She is planning on attending graduate school and is aspiring to become an ABA or BCBA! Amber is very grateful of her position at the OCE, and she is gaining critical skills that she plans on utilizing in her career. Amber loves being able to help her peers strengthen their resumes and cover letters and helping her peers find what internship is right for them! Outside of the OCE, you may find Amber sitting on the green reading her favorite book series ACOTAR. Amber also loves to crochet and loves snuggling dogs and cats, no matter how much they make her sneeze!

Mondays: 8:30-10:00

Tuesdays: 2:30-5:00

Wednesdays: 8:30-10:30

Thursdays: 9:00-10:00, 3:00-5:00

Fridays: 8:30-10:00

Akira is a senior Creative Writing major and also minoring in Japanese. Whenever they’re not packed with studying and work, they love playing video games, knitting, and reading. As one of the Career Peer Mentors, they help fellow students strengthen their résumés and cover letters. They also assist students with searching for jobs and internships on and off campus, along with tips to make job searching easier. They’re a previous College2Career scholar and were part of the first-ever cohort. All the time spent in the OCE has allowed them to fall in love with the backend of jobs and careers and assist their friends in their off-time with job-related questions.

Bella Vitale is a junior student majoring in Early Education. She is on her way to earning her teaching certificate for Prek-4. Bella is also a resident assistant for Heinz. She is interested in working at the OCE because she wants to gain experience as well as help other Arcadia students. Alongside her job, Bella enjoys reading and painting. Her favorite book of all time is The Problem with Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

Alexy is a sophomore student who is majoring in Biology. She is currently on the pre-physician assistant track. Alexy is very active in the biology department, so you might have seen her in and around Boyer Hall. Alexy loves to be around friends or catch up on movies and shows outside of school. She also likes to draw and crochet in her free time. She just learned how to crochet and has almost finished an entire blanket! Alexy wanted to work with the OCE because she wanted to help people who may be struggling with taking big steps in career planning. She will always be here and willing to help!

Lars is a sophomore student majoring in psychology. They find the field fascinating so far and look forward to being able to help people with the skills they learn in the major. Lars is excited to help fellow students achieve their career goals as a Career Peer Mentor in the OCE. In their spare time, Lars enjoys making art, laughing with friends, and petting any dog or cat who will let them.

I’m Jyothi, a sophomore majoring in computer science with a pre-engineering focus. Originally from India, I find joy in coding, drawing, crocheting, and music. Outside of class, I’m a student ambassador in the admissions department, where I enjoy giving tours and sharing my experiences at Arcadia. As an orientation leader in fall 2023, I had the opportunity to welcome new students. Looking forward to connecting with others and making the most of my time here at Arcadia!
