Interim Dean
School of Global Business

In August 2013, Catherine Morgan was appointed Interim Dean of the School of Global Business.  She is a member of the Registry, an organization that places retired college and university senior administrators in interim positions.

Prior to joining Arcadia, Dr. Morgan was placed by the Registry at Champlain College from 2010 through May 2013 where she was Special Assistant to the Provost and Consultant to the Division of Business and Economics.  Prior to retirement, her administrative positions included serving as business school dean, director of institutional research, vice president for enrollment, and acting president.

Dr. Morgan received a B.A. in Economics from Jacksonville State University and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of South Carolina.  As a full-time faculty member for 12 years, she taught undergraduate and graduate courses in economics, quantitative methods, statistics, and operations management.  Her areas of expertise include strategic planning, program and learning outcomes assessment, administrative coaching, and shared governance.

Her community contributions include serving on the boards of the Massachusetts American Council of Education Network, the Women’s Center of Jacksonville, and the ATHENAPowerLink Governing Body.

She was honored for her work as acting president by the Florida Times-Union and the Mayor’s Commission on the Status of women in Jacksonville, Florida.
