Kathy A. Trainor, Ed.D., is an Instructor and Adjunct Professor of Education in the Early Childhood Education Program. She teaches early childhood education courses in the undergraduate and graduate education programs. She is also an undergraduate student advisor and the faculty Chapter Counselor for the Zeta Nu Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, as well as the faculty advisor for the student-organized Education Club and Arcadia Special Athletes Association (ASAA).

Dr. Trainor’s career spans 20 years of work as a lead teacher in a variety of early childhood facilities including area preschools and campus-based childcare facilities. She was the Assistant Director of the Beaver College Childcare Center where she had administrative responsibilities and conducted student-staff development in addition to her teaching duties.

Her major area of interest is in the study and implementation of best practices in inclusive early childhood settings. She has also created workshops in the use of technology across the curriculum and has presented on that topic. She is an active member of the National Association of Educators of Young Children, Council for Exceptional Children and Kappa Delta Pi International Honorary Society in Education. Ms. Trainor received her B.S. in Special Education from Chestnut Hill College and a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education and Ed.D. in Special Education from Arcadia University.
