Dr. Michelle L. Washington
Assistant Professor of Business Administration
Michelle Washington earned a B.A. in Economics from Tulane University, an MBA from the University of Michigan, and her doctorate in Business Administration at Temple University. She has worked in the banking and automotive industries.
Dr. Washington teaches management courses including International Business & Culture, Human Resource Administration and Strategic Management.
Her research interests center around small businesses and small business owners. Her dissertation research investigated whether small business owners learn business principles as a result of interactions with customers, suppliers and competitors. She recently co-authored a study that investigated the impact of microfinance on entrepreneurial activity in emerging economies. She is presently studying the role(s) that a small business owner’s religious faith plays in how he/she manages his/her small business.
