It is nearly thirty years since the first class graduated from Beaver College and Arcadia University’s Department of Physical Therapy. Many things have changed over the years but the core commitment to providing the very best physical therapy education remains the same. Arcadia University is the top ranked PT school in the Greater Philadelphia region and number 14 within the nation. This is a wonderful distinction and we are proud of our strong academic program which prepares student therapists for entry into the profession.
We are excited to announce a special fundraising campaign to benefit the department. The Changing Lives, Teaching Students campaign is raising funds to support experiential learning programs which are so critical to the education of our PT student therapists.
By embedding experiential learning opportunities with a variety of populations throughout the curriculum, we are exposing student therapists to many situations they would not see otherwise, this early in their career. Faculty members also believe these experiences engender compassion and a commitment to improving the lives of others which stays with our alumni throughout their lives.
As of Oct. 24, 2013, $424,284 has been raised towards our goal of $500,000.
