Scholarships at Arcadia: Leading the Way
Two Reunion classes, the Class of ’58 and Class of ’68, want to ensure Arcadia students have the resources they need to succeed.
Class of ’58
One of the four new, technologically advanced “smart” classrooms in the new Academic Center has been dedicated in honor of the Class of ’58. Members generously increased their Annual Fund gifts to celebrate their 50th year Reunion.
“The Class of ’58 was thrilled to raise as much as we did…more than $81,000 to the Annual Fund. A sizable gift from a classmate who wishes to remain anonymous gave us a great boost! When we were offered the opportunity to have a ‘smart’ classroom dedicated to honor us for raising more than $75,000, we jumped at the idea. I personally felt that this was the year to make a larger gift to honor our 50th Reunion. The University did a lot for me and gave me a tremendous start in life. I would like to help other students have a great beginning.”

Class of ’68
In a creative approach to Reunion giving, members of the Class of ’68 are contributing $68,000 to the Annual Fund in recognition of their class year, plus as much as $40,000 more for an endowed scholarship to commemorate their 40th Reunion year.
“The Class of ’68 is very fortunate to have three classmates who offered to match all gifts made by our class. Their generosity inspired the rest of us to contribute to the Annual Fund and establish an endowed scholarship in the name of our class. This delights us, as we are all very committed to Arcadia. We understand the cost today of a private university education can be intimidating for a prospective student. We hope this scholarship will enable more students to have the opportunity to attend a university with a warm and nurturing environment and to have the same great opportunities we did when we attended Beaver College.”
