Arcadia University and Cecil College Sign a Dual Admission Agreement for Transfer Students
Glenside, PA—June 10, 2011—Arcadia
University entered into a Dual Admission and Core-to-Core Transfer
Agreement with Cecil College on June 6. Interim President Dr. James Gallagher and Provost Dr. Steve O. Michael of
Arcadia University joined President Dr. W. Stephen Pannill and Vice President
of Academic Programs Dr. Mary Bolt of Cecil College at the signing, which took
place at Arcadia’s Christiana Campus in Delaware.
Under the agreement, qualified Cecil College students will be guaranteed
admissions into a bachelor’s degree program with junior status. In addition,
Arcadia has agreed to accept Cecil’s General Education credits as meeting all
core requirements with the exception of the Global Connections Experience and
Reflection, as well as the Senior Capstone Course.“We’re very appreciative of
all the hard work that went before us to create these agreements, and we’re
going to sign these with great enthusiasm,” said Pannill. “We’re extremely
proud of today’s agreement which will bring [opportunities in] Physical Therapy
and Physician Assistant programs in particular as well as create better
pathways for all of our students.”

Located in North East, Md., Cecil College offers a variety of degree
programs, many of which allow students to transfer the credits they earn to a
four-year institution. Known for their outstanding nursing and visual
communications programs, Cecil is fully accredited by the Middle States
Association of Colleges and Schools and the Maryland Higher Education
Commission.
