America Reads Challenge
Arcadia University took the America Reads Challenge again this year participating in a nation-wide program aiming to increase the literacy levels of elementary students. There are presently four daily programs that occur during school hours at the following sites: Wyncote and Glenside Elementary schools, and Wagner Middle School. After school programs occur at: Glenside, and Wyncote elementary schools, North Hills Community Center, and the Won Buddhist Temple of Philadelphia. These programs focus on reading and homework assistance.
If you are interested in learning more about how to participate in the America Reads Challenge or how to start such a program, please contact Cindy Rubino at 215-572-4000 or stop by the Community Service Office on the Garden Level of Dilworth Hall.
