Mission: Arcadia for a Better Community (ABC) is a community service organization that invites people from all walks of life to work together in partnership to help build a better community for everyone. We bring community service opportunities to members of the campus as well as go out and volunteer with local organizations. ABC takes proposals from anyone wanting to help out a cause or non-profit organization and keeps in contact with the Office of Community Service for more volunteer opportunities.
Events: We routinely hold sales (bake sales, selling awareness items) to raise money for different causes and non-profits. Events we've done in the past include a bake sale for ovarian cancer, fundraising for Hurricane Sandy victims, the annual Get on My Level Dance for RSD, school supply drives for children in Guatemala, an Out of the Darkness walk for suicide prevention and more. Organizations we've volunteered at include Cradles to Crayons, a women's shelter, and Interfaith Hospitality Network. We're always looking for new ideas for events and organizations to work with!
