Advice to New Students Starting university is not just a new chapter in your life, but a new book in your series. This is really a huge opportunity for a new start: to be the person you want to be, to be a better person than you were in high school, and to better yourself in more way than you can count. It's important to take advantage of the opportunities you are given at Arcadia such as using your resources, going on trips (nationally or internationally), building confidence and leadership, becoming involved on campus and the in the community, working with professors, and becoming more independent. I would say the best advice I can give is to put yourself out there. When I first started my first year at Arcadia, I had been the shyest person in high school, and I wanted to change that, so I did. Talk to people, join clubs, anything. Get out of your comfort zone so you can expand it. Coming to Arcadia helped me become the better person I am today.
What I love about being an Arcadia student I love that Arcadia is the most welcoming community I have ever been a part of. Being the size that Arcadia is, it's nice to be able to get to know everyone, and to have the opportunity to have more personal attention working with professors. The amount of resources Arcadia provides for students is exceptional for building leadership, resumes, networking, careers, and positive experiences.
The best part of New Student Orientation The best part of New Student Orientation is definitely MEET ARCADIA!
