Arcadia Student Rows to College Success
Arcadia University student Maurice Scott ’17, a global securities and emergency management major, was featured in a Philadelphia Daily News article about Philadelphia City Rowing. The article, which showcased Scott’s exemplary rowing skills, also highlighted his participation in the men’s D-Grade quad scull finals in the New South Wales Edward Trickett grade championships– which occurred during his study abroad program at the University of New South Wales.
“I wanted to get more from rowing than just the sport itself,” Scott said in the interview about combining rowing and studying abroad. “I wanted to go beyond the horizons and learn a different culture while learning what I loved.”
