Completing your application is the first step toward the customized education, hands-on experiences, and open-minded and supportive community that focuses on your success. Any questions? We’re here to help and to guide you through the application process and toward graduation.
The sooner you submit your required materials, the sooner you’ll hear a decision. We typically let applicants know within a few weeks. You can identify what’s still needed by visiting your MyKnight Portal. You don’t need to submit a separate application for scholarships.
How do I complete the financial aid process?
Pursuing higher education involves serious financial consideration, and could even be your reason for transferring. That's why we're proud to offer an abundance of financial aid options to eligible students. We’ll work together with your budget to make your education affordable and accessible, and keep you on track to graduate on time. We're here to support you every step of the way.
Will courses taken while in the Exploratory Studies count toward my major?
At Arcadia, you can begin in Exploratory Studies and still stay on track to graduate on time. Through general education and entry-level courses, you’ll explore fields like business, science, and the arts while discovering the major that’s right for you.
How is advising personalized and individualized for each Exploratory Studies student?
Each student will be paired with an academic advisor who will offer support and advising, help each student develop an action plan that will help them achieve their academic goals, suggest courses and activities throughout campus and encourage them to get involved in the Arcadia community. This will allow students to come back and share what they liked and what worked for them, and guide conversations towards selecting a major. Conversations and suggestions are different for each individual student!
When do I have to declare my major?
Most students aim to declare their major by the end of their first year or early in their second year. This timeline ensures you stay on track with your degree requirements and maintain flexibility in your schedule. While you explore your options, you’ll receive personalized advising to help you make an informed decision that aligns with your goals and keeps you on target for graduation.
Can someone help me get started?
Absolutely! Throughout the admission process, you will be assigned to work with Marissa Steiner, a Senior Admissions Counselor dedicated to working with Exploratory Studies students. At the start of the fall semester, you will work with an Academic Advisor from Arcadia’s Division of Student Success to develop a course schedule that allows you to explore coursework that is of interest to you.
