Community Education Event

This engaging community event will feature a special guest, Kenneth “Freedom Smitty” Salaam, a living legend. Known for his work to “improve the lives of all,” Mr. Salaam traveled the country to engage in social justice advocacy alongside Civil Rights leaders including Stokley Carmichael, Fannie Lou Hamer, and Dr. King. Mr. Salaam will share his experiences and speak about how today’s students can help make the world a better place. We will also have roundtable discussions centered on how nonviolence activism aligns with Arcadia’s Lived Values, CABR goals, and initiatives. Refreshments will be served.
