It’s a madcap modern re-making of one of the western world’s oldest plays, The Suppliant Women by Aeschylus. When the 50 grooms catch up with their runaway brides, mayhem ensues: with helicopters, pop songs, smeared cake, romantic dances, a violent pact, and an improbable ending that affirms the true power of love.
