Spring 2025
Student Basic Needs Survey

What is the Student Basic Needs Survey?: The Student Basic Needs Survey is designed to assess the types of basic needs insecurities among college campuses. Key topics of the survey include:
- Basic needs insecurity surrounding food, housing, homelessness, mental health, childcare, technology, transportation, etc.
- Students’ use of campus and public support services and barriers to its utilization.
- Aspects of the college experience including affordability, employment, enrollment, etc.
Who is asked to participate: All Students
Why participate: The results will help us gain insights into students’ needs that the Hope Center’s partners can use to advocate for students and improve services.
National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
- March 24 - April 4, 2025

What is the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)?: The NSSE survey assesses the extent to which first-year and senior students participate in programs and activities for their learning and development.
Why participate: The results of this survey will help us identify aspects of the undergraduate experience, inside and outside of the classroom, that can be improved through policies and practicies.
Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE): To complement the National Survey of Student Engagement, the FSSE was designed for faculty, instructors, and graduate students who teach. The survey is available from March 25 to April 9, 2025.
Undergraduate Advising Survey

What is the Undergraduate Advising Survey?: This survey, which is administered by the Division of Student Success, asks you to provide information about and assessment of the academic advising you have recently received at Arcadia. Participation in this survey is voluntary, responses are strictly confidential, and the survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Overall survey results will be shared with the campus community and with each academic department. No individual-level data or identifiable information will be shared. Only aggregate data and summarized survey results will be shared.
Who is asked to participate: All undergraduates and all undergraduate advisors
Why participate: The purpose of this survey is to gather the information that will allow us to improve advising through further support for students and advisors.
Graduation Survey

What is the Graduation Survey?: As you prepare for your upcoming graduation, Arcadia would like to invite you to share both your reflections on your college experience and your plans for the future by completing ARCADIA'S GRADUATION SURVEY. Don't worry if your plans are tentative. Be assured that any personally identifiable information you provide will remain confidential. The university only offers post-graduate outcome information in aggregate at https://careerlaunchpad.arcadia.edu/outcomes.
Why participate: Your responses about your Arcadia experiences will assist university leaders in fostering the success of future graduates. Students who participate could win a prize! Past prizes include:

What is the End of Semester Survey?: Arcadia University is committed to supporting students in navigating their academic and co-curricular experiences. This survey gathers information about student perceptions and experiences during the spring 2025 semester. Survey participation is voluntary, and you may skip any question you don't want to answer. The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. Please take a few minutes to share your valuable feedback!

What is the Early Engagement Survey?: The survey gathers information about student perceptions and experiences early in their first semester. Survey responses are confidential, participation is voluntary, and it takes about 5 minutes to complete the survey.
Who is asked to participate: All students who are new to Arcadia this semester.
Why participate: The results of this survey will help us better understand our current students' habits, needs, and preferences. Survey results support the University's continuous improvement efforts.
Fall 2024
The CIRP Freshman Survey

What is the CIRP Freshman Survey?: The CIRP Freshman Survey is designed for administration to incoming first-year students before they start classes at your institution. The instrument collects extensive information that allows for a snapshot of what your incoming students are like before they experience college. Key sections of the survey examine:
- Academic preparedness
- Admissions decisions
- Expectations of college
- Interactions with peers and faculty
- Student values and goals
- Concerns about financing college
Why participate: Your participation will help us better understand the expectations, needs, and plans of the new class of First-Year Students. Students who participate could win a prize! Past prizes include gift cards and Arcadia swag.

What is the Athletic Interests Survey?: The Athletic Interests Survey determines the extent to which Arcadia University is meeting the athletics interests and abilities of undergraduate students through current offerings of intercollegiate athletics. Specifically, information about students' interests and abilities to participate in sports that are not offered at the varsity level at Arcadia.
Who is asked to participate: All Undergraduates
Why participate: The information gathered will be used for evaluation, research, and planning purposes for Arcadia's athletics. One lucky student who participates will win a prize!
