In Memoriam: Larry Kuhn, Supporter of Arcadia’s Astronomy Program

Arcadia’s Astronomy team is deeply saddened by the passing of Larry Kuhn, a valued friend of the astronomy program.
Since 2021, Larry generously supported students and faculty—from the initial efforts to open the Boyer Observatory to the public to ongoing activities such as star parties and astrophotography. Always eager to help, Larry shared his knowledge and dedicated countless hours to enhancing our facility and enriching our experience of exploring the Universe.

Larry was a member of the Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association, where he served as a member and outreach volunteer. It’s through this position that Larry first connected with Arcadia, a relationship that lasted years. His kindness, passion, and contributions will be greatly missed.
“Larry was a trusted advisor, a helping hand, a selfless soul, and a friendly neighbor,” said Paul Broccardi ’24, who served as president of the Astronomy Club before graduating with a degree in Computer Science. “He freely lent both his knowledge and time to us on many cold nights, playing a crucial role in helping Arcadia develop its astronomy programs and cultivate interest in astronomy across campus. Thank you, Larry. You will be greatly missed.”
