Arcadia’s School of Education will welcome the administration, music director, and students of Hill-Freedman World Academy for the spring 2025 Ed Knight on Thursday, April 3, 2025 in the Commons Great Room.

The event will include a showing of the documentary, “Stand Up & Shout: Songs From A Philly High School,” produced by HBO and featuring Hill-Freedman’s music department. The documentary is nominated for four Children’s & Family Emmy Awards.

After the documentary, Hill-Freedman’s Music Director, Ezechial Thurman, will explain how the program originated and students will discuss the making of the documentary. The evening will conclude with a look at plans for the music program’s future.
