After a career in undergraduate counseling, Laura Sibson pursued an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts. When she’s not writing, you can find her exploring the neighborhood streets or hiking with her dog in Fairmount Park. She lives in Chestnut Hill with her husband and family. The Art of Breaking Things is her critically acclaimed debut novel; her second young adult novel with Viking, Edie In Between comes out in August 2021. In addition to teaching at Arcadia, Laura leads workshops at The Highlights Foundation and at a middle school in North Philadelphia.
