Are you ready for the new FAFSA?
Historical changes are coming to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2024-2025 year!
What do these changes mean?
- The FAFSA is open and available at studentaid.gov! Do not forget to use Arcadia’s school code, 003235 when submitting!
- The needs analysis formula is changing, and the EFC (expected family contribution) is being replaced with a new figure called the Student Aid Index (SAI)
- The new FAFSA has fewer questions and is role-based. This means students and parent(s) will have their own distinct process when submitting the form
How can you prepare for the FAFSA?
- Apply for an FSA ID which is a username and password you will use to complete the FAFSA. Each contributor to the FAFSA will need an FSA ID
