Aaron comes to the Theater Department at Arcadia University having started his performing arts career as a countertenor and early music specialist, appearing on the concert stage with the National Symphony Orchestra, Maryland Collegium Musicum, The Woodley Ensemble, Schola Cantorum and the Smithsonian Chamber Music Society, to name a few.
Following that, Aaron followed his passion of musical theatre and became a highly sought after vocal coach/performance clinician among professional actors in musical theatre; many of whom are enjoying successful professional careers on Broadway, National tours, and at some of the finest regional theatres across the country. As a guest artist, master teacher and professor of theatre he has taught Musical Theatre Repertoire, Scene Study, and Musical Theatre History, among other courses and has directed, composed, arranged, and orchestrated numerous musicals, cabarets and solo showcase performances.
As an award winning musical director and conductor he has had the privilege of conducting more than 80 musicals with some of the finest actors at some of the finest theatres around the country including The Fulton Theatre where he served as resident musical director and conductor from 2012-2016 and the Walnut Street Theatre, here in Philadelphia.
Together with collaborator and award-winning playwright, Daryl Lisa Fazio, he has composed the score to three original musicals (lift, POPart: the musical and Blackout), which have been developed around the country, including off-Broadway, and has contributed songs, arrangements and orchestrations to several other original theatrical works.
Aaron is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo (B.A. in music) and the University of Maryland (M.M. in conducting). Favorite show: being married to the extraordinarily talented actress, Cary Michelle Miller and daddy to his daughter, Madeline.
