Members of Lenape Tribe Teach Students History, Culture During Drumming Session
Members of the Lenape tribe visited Arcadia on Wednesday for a drumming and educational session in the Commons Great Room.
The drumming session promoted cultural exchange through music and conversation, while the educational session included the history of the Lenape tribe in our region and the history of Native American music and culture.
Additionally, Lenape Chief Chuck Gentlemoon talked about his discussed his ongoing involvement in creating the first sweatlodge in a Pennsylvania State correctional facility and the importance of rehabilitation in jails.
The event was sponsored by the Social Justice Society and the CASAA Indigenous Working Group.
