The 42nd Annual Presentation of Capstone Projects at Arcadia University takes place from Tuesday, April 19, through Tuesday, May 17, and the public is invited to attend any session.

Arcadia University has long valued the importance of individual student projects. In 1989, as part of the University’s strategic planning process and with help from a grant from the Knight Foundation, a policy was established whereby each department provides a Capstone course and each student completes a Capstone project in the major. The project includes substantial written or creative work and the challenge of analyzing and integrating what has been learned in the student’s major field of study.

Seniors are given an opportunity to share their project experience and outcomes with their peers, the University community, and family and friends each spring. Most of the presentations take place on Thursday, April 28, and Friday, April 29. Friday evening includes the longstanding tradition of the Senior Art Exhibit. The faculty encourages all students to attend these events, which include poster presentations, as well as oral and creative presentations.
