Arcadia University’s Honors Program and Cindy Rubino, Coordinator of Community Service, will box hundreds of breakfasts to deliver to Aid for Friends, which serves members of the community without access to food. Volunteers are still needed for the event, which takes place on Wednesday, April 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in The Chat.

The event is coordinated in association with Rosemont College’s Honors Program, which challenged the Southeastern Pennsylvania Consortium for Higher Education (SEPCHE) to compete for the most amount of hours spent helping those who are hungry or otherwise unable to get to food sources.

“We encourage students to stop by to help box the meals,” says Rubino. “Students also can organize their Arcadia clubs to get involved for community service credit.”

Aid for Friends has a long and proud history of providing free home-cooked meals to the isolated homebound through the generosity of volunteer groups.
