More Than 1,300 Visit Campus for November Open House

Two days before Arcadia was again ranked first in the nation for study abroad, the University celebrated one of the largest fall Open Houses in school history.

The Nov. 15 Open House welcomed to campus 482 prospective undergraduate students, who explored the wide range of academic and international programs offered at Arcadia. More than 1,300 visitors went on tours, attended academic information sessions, learned about financial aid, and talked to students and faculty about activities on and around campus, such as PreviewFirst-year Study Abroad Experience, and the University’s Majors Abroad Programs.

The day saw a 61 percent increase in applications from the three previous November Open Houses.

“The extraordinary number of prospective students—and, in particular, the high quality of such students—at our fall Open Houses are a testament to the quality of the Arcadia educational experience domestically and around the world,” said Mark Lapreziosa, vice president for Enrollment Management. “The Office of Enrollment Management thanks all of our visitors and their families, as well as all staff, faculty, and students, who helped to make these events so successful.”
