Lentz ’03M, EdD and López Delgado ’15 Appointed to Board of Trustees at Arcadia University
Charles (Chuck) Lentz ’03M, EdD, superintendent of schools and superintendent of record for Middle Bucks Institute of Technology for the New Hope-Solebury School district, and Camilo López Delgado ’15, a government relations consultant for the United Nations Global Compact, have been appointed to the Board of Trustees at Arcadia University, effective June 1, 2023.
Lentz, who served as chair of the Board at Arcadia (2016-17) and as vice chair (2015-16), first joined the Arcadia Board in 2010. During his tenure on the Arcadia Board, Lentz helped to oversee the start of the national presidential search that led to the appointment of Dr. Ajay Nair as president in 2018. He also served on several Board committees, including the Academic Affairs, Finance and Infrastructure, Executive Committee, and Student Life committees.
Lentz has nearly 30 years of experience in educational leadership positions. Prior to his leadership at New Hope-Solebury School District, Lentz spent more than two decades in leadership positions in the Abington School District, including as assistant director of curriculum, principal of McKinley Elementary School, and assistant principal of Abington Junior High School.
Lentz lends his leadership to the boards and committees of several organizations both regionally and nationally, including the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States, HealthWorks Academies, the Union League of Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Order of Free and Accepted Masons, the Wistar Institute Leadership Council, and the Dream Builders Optimist Club of Elkins Park. Lentz earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Arts in Education from Gratz College, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Arcadia University, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Widener University.
López Delgado, who will serve a two-year term as a recent graduate trustee, moved to the United States from Paraguay to attend Arcadia University. As an Arcadia student, he served as an orientation leader and led various clubs and organizations including the Amnesty International Club and the Arcadia Radio Club. In 2020, he was named to the University’s 40 Under 40 list. In 2021, he served as the class representative during the 20th Anniversary Processional of the University.
López Delgado has previously served as an advisor to the United Nations delegations of Paraguay, Afghanistan, and the European Union, and research analyst at NYU’s Center on International Cooperation. His portfolio has included issues on sustainable development, corporate sustainability, human rights, press affairs, international peace and security, and counter-terrorism.
López Delgado has also led a project on electoral information transparency in his native country of Paraguay and has contributed as a TV foreign policy/politics analyst on major networks in the country. He is also involved with initiatives seeking to support humanitarian efforts and the rights of the people of Afghanistan.
López Delgado earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Cultural Anthropology from Arcadia in 2015 and a Master of Arts in International Relations from New York University in 2017.
