Bogue Hosts Benefit Dinner Party for Honors Project
For her Honors Project, Faith Bogue threw a Benefit Dinner Party, complete with performances and a speaker, for about 70 people in the Grey Towers Castle Mirror Room on Wednesday, April 7. The dinner, organized entirely by Bogue, was a fundraising and awareness event for the Foundation for Post Conflict Development, a not-for profit organization that works to fulfill the Millennium Development Goals set forth by the United Nations in the year 2000.
“These goals include, but are not limited to, eradicating extreme poverty and hunger, achieving universal primary education, promoting gender equality, reducing child mortality, improving maternal health, and ensuring environmental sustainability,” says Bogue. “The evening included dinner, a speech and presentation, a Knight Club dance performance, a violinist, a pianist, and dessert. The dinner raised $410 between tickets and donations, all of which will be sent to forward the progress of the Foundation for Post Conflict Development.”
