The Tower: Discovering Glenside, and Lynn Sipsey at Heirloom Studio
Tower Reporter Samantha Nickalls’ interview with the Office of Community Service (read it here) provides a glimpse into how Arcadia students are getting more involved in the local community—and some of the fun that can be had—like First Fridays that now include activities at the Keswick Theater. And tonight (Friday, Dec. 2), it’s WinterFest in Glenside.
An interesting gem tucked into her story—”I stopped by Heirloom to check out Lynn Sipsey’s (graduated in 2011) contribution to their new kitchenware line one month.” A quick search finds Heirloom Home and Studio, not a national brand, but a small business in Glenside, featuring new work by Sipsey.
“Check out this time-compressed video of Lynn illustrating salad greens (the one in this video is a baby beet green) for our soon to be released “ultimate salad bowl”. While you are at it, check out these amazing seeds—these are the greens that we used for our illustrations. We have this seed pack and many others at the shop!” according to their Facebook post.
