The College of Global Studies at Arcadia University is delighted to announce a new academic partnership with Lincoln University in Christchurch, New Zealand.

As New Zealand’s oldest agricultural college, the university prides itself on offering innovative curricular initiatives with a warm and inviting campus atmosphere. Study abroad students benefit from a strong focus on the environment taught from a multi-disciplinary perspective, which highlights business, agricultural and scientific policy perspectives.

Students may enroll in courses in agriculture, crop and soil science, environmental economics, water resource management and GIS. Lincoln University also offers studies in recreation and tourism management with a specialization in the outdoor environment. Accompanying these opportunities are a range of courses focusing on New Zealand culture and history including Maori studies.

Lincoln University’s GPA requirement for study abroad students is 2.75 on a 4.0 scale and courses may be selected among various departments on a semester basis (16 credits) and on an academic year basis (32 credits).

The university is located 25 minutes from Christchurch amid the spectacular scenery of the Canterbury region, which is home to New Zealand’s highest mountain, Mt. Cook. Verdant farmland, beautiful landscapes and many rivers and beaches provide a backdrop for a diverse range of out of classroom learning opportunities through which Arcadia study abroad students can earn the unique Co-Curricular Learning Certificate (CLC). In addition, outdoor enthusiasts may enjoy hiking, skiing, surfing and more in breathtaking locales just a few hours’ journey from campus.
