In January, Dana Collins ECE ’03, M.Ed., Educational Leadership, ’05, was assigned the position of Executive Program Director at the YMCA of Burlington and Camden counties in New Jersey. During the past six years, Dana has been part of a team to expand early childhood care, education for school-aged children, and summer camp programs. Their efforts have been successful and they are committed to providing youth development, healthful living and social development within the community. Dana is grateful for her education at Arcadia. “The hands on approach of Arcadia’s education program provided exposure to programs in operation and provided me opportunities to lead activities, plan lessons, and work directly with education professionals already working in the field. This gave me the tools to lead staff, manage a budget, implement program quality standards, and contribute to my organization.”
