Arcadia Ranked Among Best Regional Universities by U.S. News & World Report
In the 2017 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, released today, Arcadia University is ranked 42 out of 181 institutions in the North Regional University category. This places Arcadia University as sixth among universities in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the North Regional category, and puts Arcadia within the top 25 percent among colleges and universities in its respective category.
One of the hallmarks of an Arcadia education, personal attention, was noted, as the percentage of classes with fewer than 20 students remained high, at 72 percent; the University’s student-to-faculty ratio is an impressive 10:1.
Within other lists, Arcadia achieved high marks in the North Regional University categories, including being ranked as the 24th Best School for Veterans in its category.
The U.S. News & World Report’s North Regional University category comprises Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington, D.C. Regional universities are those that provide a full range of undergraduate majors and graduate programs, but offer few, if any, doctoral programs.
In 2015, Open Doors Report ranked Arcadia University #1 in the nation for undergraduate students studying abroad for the sixth consecutive year. Earlier this year, The Princeton Review named Arcadia University among the “Best in the Northeast” in its 2017 Best Colleges: Region by Region. U.S. News and World Report has ranked Arcadia’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program 2nd in Pennsylvania, 20th in the nation.
