The Office of University Relations maintains relations with the press and media on behalf of the University, circulating and disseminating information internally and externally while closely monitoring Arcadia’s presence in the world.
Campus News
University Relations publishes news daily to arcadia.edu/news. News is delivered via a University newsletter to campus community members weekly during the academic year. News also is promoted on Arcadia’s social media platforms and through digital signage. Select in-depth stories are produced for Arcadia, the University’s biannual magazine.
Media Requests
University Relations is the primary press and media relations office on campus. The Communications Team works closely with news media and other external media outlets on publicizing Arcadia news and events; connecting faculty, staff, students, and other campus members with media outlets, when appropriate; and responding to media requests.
Faculty Expertise
University Relations promotes faculty and staff expertise, scholarship, and research and works with faculty and academic deans in updating the Experts Guide. Information in the Guide is used to connect faculty with journalists searching for experts and to proactively pitch faculty and staff experts to media outlets for anticipated news stories.
Event Publicity
Our office coordinates and promotes major University events, such as Commencement, Honors Convocation, and special community events sponsored or supported by the University. More about event planning and publicity.
