About the Division of Student Success
The Division of Student Success within Academic Affairs is composed of several offices working together to holistically and effectively focus on student success broadly defined, with particular emphasis on enhancing the academic and developmental support, services, and experience we provide our graduate and undergraduate students. The Division of Student Success includes the following units/teams: Undergraduate Success; Academic Development (including the Learning Resource Network, Disability Support Services, and the Writing Center); Act 101/Gateway to Success; the Office of Career Education; the Registrar’s Office; Graduate Support.
Academic Procedures
Academic Procedures for Undergraduate Students
- Processes undergraduate academic petitions and requests
- Sends out Academic Standing Letters.
- Provides funding for students presenting at conferences.

Academic Procedures for Graduate Students
- Oversees all academic procedures and petitions for graduate students
- Academic standing (dismissal, probation, failing grade, and honors)
- Admission to degree candidacy (for students in part-time graduate programs)
- Degree completion/conferral
- Program verification to outside agencies

Undergraduate Success
Our office is here to guide you during your time as a student at Arcadia, as you navigate academic requirements, policies, and procedures. We also offer academic advising and other services to help you reach your academic goals.
Gateway to Success / Act 101
Gateway to Success/Act 101 prepares new students for the transition to college, builds upon their academic skills, and provides mentor and support resources throughout their tenure at Arcadia.
The Writing Center
The Writing Center provides Arcadia University students, faculty and staff with one-on-one, collaborative guidance on their writing. We work with writers in all disciplines and majors on any assignment and at any stage of the writing process. Through open-ended discussion, writing, and sharing, we help writers to better understand the decisions they make in their writing and to adapt responsibly to a wide variety of writing across the disciplines.
The Learning Resouce Network
The Learning Resource Network provides academic support for all students, including tutoring, study groups, and study skill assistance. It is a student space with learning resources and networked computers with printing and scanning capabilities.
Disability Support Services
Disability Support Services provides direct services to undergraduate and graduate students with disabilities, and supports faculty who have students with disabilities in their classes. We also serve as a resource regarding ADA issues for the campus community.
The Office of Career Education
The mission of The Office of Career Education is to educate and create connections for the Arcadia University community to facilitate the holistic career development of undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni.
The Registrar
The office of the Registrar provides the following services to the Arcadia University community: Creating, maintaining and transmitting academic records in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), scheduling rooms, classes, students and final examinations, evaluating transfer credit, auditing degree progress and completion, coordinating Veteran’s benefits, processing international student forms, and issuing academic transcripts, certificates and diplomas.
