One-on-One Tutoring Available at Learning Resource Network

Academic support is available through the Learning Resource Network. Students can drop in or they can request a tutor be assigned for one-on-one appointments. Tutoring is available from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the ground level of Landman Library. At the LRN in Knight Hall, tutors are available until 9 p.m.

“The tutors who work in Knight Hall are specially trained to work with students on learning skills and strategies, such as time management, test-taking, and taking notes in classes,” says Linda Pizzi, Director of Academic Development. “Peer tutors understand the pressures of getting good grades, the need to balance school with jobs, socializing, and family responsibilities. Many students use tutoring because they are interested in learning with other students, even if they are not having serious academic difficulties” adds Pizzi.

To request a one-on-one tutor, come to the Learning Resource Network Lab in Knight Hall and fill out a form at the front desk. Or, send an e-mail to tutor@arcadia.edu or call 215-572-4033. Read more about the Learning Resource Network.
