“On behalf of a grateful University, I am thrilled to be joined by representatives of our campus community for this official ribbon cutting for the Commons. I am especially grateful to our three of Campaign Co-Chairs who came from Florida, Ambler, and the great City of Philadelphia not only to participate in today’s ceremony, but also for raising the funds to make this building a reality. You have inspired us with your leadership,” said President Oxholm.
“The Commons represents a gathering place where connections are made, ideas are exchanged, and a community comes together. It is fitting that we have the Class Presidents of the great Classes of 2012 to 2015, as well as representatives of our master’s and doctorate programs. This building not only serves students, but extends a warm welcome to our alumni, faculty, and staff who are represented today.
“To our alumni, trustees, faculty, staff, corporate donors and other friends whose gifts funded the construction of this impressive facility, we are especially grateful. Together, we are making history with the official of opening the Commons.” Watch the ceremony at www.ustream.tv/
