Home Stand: Ribbon-Cutting Ceremonies Will Precede Opening Games on Easton Field

By Purnell T. Cropper | August 30, 2012

Arcadia University’s Field Hockey team hosts Richard Stockton College under the lights at Easton Field on Friday, Aug. 31, at 7 p.m. It will be the first NCAA game ever played on the new turf surface. To mark the occasion, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 6:45 p.m. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community are invited to attend and celebrate the start of the new season on the revamped field. Can’t make it to the match? There will be two more chances to support Arcadia’s fall sports teams as they compete on Easton Field for the first time. Men’s Soccer hosts Swarthmore College on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. While Women’s Soccer hosts Neumann University on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m. Ribbon-cutting ceremonies will precede these games, too.

All three teams would like to extend a special invitation to their alumni to join them in what is sure to be a spectacular evening of celebration and competition. Alumni of each program are asked to R.S.V.P. with the Office of Alumni Relations at 215-572-2160 or alumni@arcadia.edu.

Free hot dogs, raffle prizes and a half-time competition await fans.
