Dr. Douglas Michele Turco, Associate Dean, The College of Global Studies, presented “The Love Game: Tennis, Turkey, and Tourism” in April at the Interdisciplinary Tourism Research Conference in Fethiye, Turkey. Co-authored with Cem Tinaz and Serkan Berber and published in the Conference proceedings, the full paper examines the consumer behaviors of visitors to the 2011 Women’s Tennis Association Championships in Istanbul. Turco also chaired the session on Tourism Marketing and Communication Research at the Conference.
