AAFS Recognizes Award-Winning Forensic Toxicologists of NMS Labs
Drs. Barry Logan and Sherri Kacinko, Adjunct Professors in Arcadia University’s Master of Forensic Science program, are two of three NMS Labs experts who will be recognized at the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) meeting in Washington, D.C., for their contributions to forensic toxicology.
With 29 years of experience in forensic toxicology, Logan is recognized as a thought leader who makes a significant and positive difference. Kacinko, a Forensic Toxicologist at NMS Labs, will also be recognized for her contributions to the field. She will receive the Irving Sunshine Award for her research and early career achievement in forensic toxicology.

Arcadia’s MSFS students benefit from internship and part-time employment opportunities at NMS Labs, which is located in Willow Grove, Pa. Interaction in forensic science laboratories with established researchers and practitioners, often involving case material, is a unique feature of Arcadia’s Forensic Science program. Students also have opportunities to conduct original forensic research at the Center for Forensic Science Research and Education.
