The College of Global Studies Well Represented at Forum on Education Abroad Conference
Several members from The College of Global Studies at Arcadia University attended and participated in the second Forum on Education Abroad Conference in Barcelona, Oct. 23-25. The conference’s main topics revolved around programming and best practices, including what it means to be a traditional destination as well as the challenges of sending American students to popular European destinations.
The below staff members from The College of Global Studies presented “Secession and Study Abroad: Does It Matter?” at the conference, which demonstrated that issues of political and national identity do matter to American students.
Presenters were:
- Peter Leuner, regional director for UK and Ireland
- Hamish Thompson, resident director of the Edinburgh Center
- Laura Cervi, assistant professor in communications at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona
- Eberhard “Paddy” Bort, director of the Scottish Parliamentary Internships
- Jaume Gelabert, resident director of the Barcelona Center
