Nature in Chalk, an exhibit at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, displays the work of Caryn Babaian ’93 MEd. Babaian, who teaches biology at Bucks County Community College and has been featured in NOVA’s The Secret Life of Scientists and Engineers, created “nature mandalas,” emulating the symbols of the universe traditionally referenced in Hinduism and Buddhism to encourage connections to nature.
