Mary Laxton, assistant professor of the physician assistant program, had her article, “Peritoneal Dialysis: An Effective but Underutilized Modality of Renal Replacement Therapy,” accepted for publication in the Journal of the American Association of Physician Assistants. The article demonstrates that peritoneal dialysis is an effective method of renal replacement therapy, can ease the current and future burden on the healthcare system, and provides patients with a high quality of life.
