Dr. Hilary Parsons Dick, assistant professor of international studies, has been awarded a Wenner-Gren Hunt Postdoctoral Fellowship, which supports the development of previously completed research.

The Fellowship, which she will hold throughout 2016, will support the final stages of revision on her book, Words of Passage: National Belonging, Ethical Practice, and the Imagined Lives of Mexican Migrants, currently under review by Oxford University Press.

Margaret Keenan ’14 and Nicole Edwards ’14 helped prepare the manuscript for review, supported by Arcadia’s Faculty Development Award. Danielle DiVerde ’15, Camilo López Delgado ’15, Veronica Willig ’15, and Le’ah McCray ’16 also assisted with research.

The Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research is dedicated to the advancement of anthropology throughout the world. The Hunt Fellowship is their most competitive award and a distinct recognition in the field.
